I was wondering what two different dapple grays look like into different patterns.
Dapple grey to look like one the late mare's of my grandmother owned. Melody was at this stage of grey when I was taking pictures. I have pictures on 2 of the 4 stages of color that she change over her life time.
My hand on what roan looks like. The unique thing about these horses is when they get a scar on their body the color turns into a dark color where other colors turn white. Something to think about.
Every one needs a black stallion in their collection. I was working with black coat, but it was truely hard to get detail on solid animal. I use blue hue to bring out the light. By the way oil black paint takes for ever to dry. This horse was painted on New years day few years ago, it seem to be July or Aug that seem close to dry.
Stone Pebble stallion that had a sex change and a twitch of the ear, so she looks aware of the jump in front of her.
My first and last horse with strips. This foal took me way to long to finish, I had work on and off 13-15 years. eeks!

Flea bitten gray with pastel. Working with different mediams help give you different results. I sometimes would use all the mediams on one horse.
Two extra SM to paint, I had fun painting the blue eye.
Classic I have worked with for ever and a day. This horse I had since '94, that I had nerve to take out of the box and then cm on carved balls of feet, full mane and tail, and anything that needed to be touch up. The paint job was a challange as well.
Well, after having so many horses, I don't own any fantasy animal. So I gave it a shot of turn out great, but this picture does not do him any justice. I am on my next idea for my next unicorn.
An older cm mare and foal, but they make a perfect match. Can you guess what SM's I used for these guys?
